13 Prayers of Thanksgiving + Bible Verse


Prayer 1: Philippians 4:6

 Do not be anxious about anything, but by prayer and petition, present your requests to God with thanksgiving in every situation.

Pray: Lord Jesus, I come before you with a heart of thanksgiving to appreciate you for your goodness to me in every of my life endeavors.


Prayer 2: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Pray: Lord Jesus, I thank you for your mercy, love, protection, kindness, and grace towards me. 


Prayer 3: Psalm 103:1, 4

Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy Name. Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.

Pray:  I thank you, Lord, for blessing my soul till this moment. I want to thank you for washing away my sins and healing me from my ailment and diseases.


Prayer 4: Psalm 7:17 

I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the Name of the Lord, the Most High.

Pray: Lord Jesus, i want to thank you for who you are because in your precious Name, every kneel must bow. I thank you for being just at all times. 


Prayer 5: Isaiah 12:4

And on that day you will say, “Give thanks to the LORD, call on His Name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His Name is exalted.

Pray: Without you, Lord, I’m nothing. I thank you for the wisdom you have given to the world for the benefit of humanity.


Prayer 6: Psalm 136:1-3

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever. 

2 Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. 

Pray: Lord, you are so good to me that you made my enemies bow in shame. I bless you because you have made me a god over every other living creature.


Prayer 7: James 1:17

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Pray: My Father in heaven, I thank you for the perfect gift of Sunshine, Air, Water, and the trees meant for my good.


Prayer 8: Psalm 95:1-3

1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. 

2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Pray: O Lord Jesus, I thank you for the salvation you have given my soul. I’m happy and thankful for the beautiful opportunity you have given us to become a partaker of your kingdom. 


Prayer 9: Colossians 2: 6- 7

So then, just as you receive Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk with him and build up in him, strengthen in the faith as you were thought, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Pray: O Lord, give me unceasing energy to continue my fellowship with you in truth and in Spirit. Help me to remain connected to you from now and evermore.


Prayer 10: James 1: 17

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadow.

Pray: O Lord, I believe in your word because you never changed. You are the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. The father of heavenly lights, I thank you for shining your light in me.


Prayer 11: 1 Chronicles 16: 34

Oh, give thanks to the Lord for He is good, for His Love endures forever.

Pray: Your love is eternal from generation to generation. I give you thanks and praises for your immense love that you sent your only Son to die for me that I will be saved and have an everlasting comfort in your presence when we depart from this earth.


Prayer 12: Hebrews 12: 28

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”

Pray: My Father in heaven, I thank you for being a father to me, accepting me in your presence. I worship your Holy Name and a hearth of joy.


Prayer 13: Ephesians 5: 18 – 20

Do not get drunk on wine which leads to debauchery ( Indulgence ), but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord; always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray: With the heart of joy and love for you, I thank you for your grace of self-control and discipline in worshiping your Holy name.
